We use this tense when we talk about actions happening now or around now.
Affirmative: SUBJECT + BE (AM/IS/ARE) + VERB (DOING) + OBJECT

Time expressions:
now, at the moment, at present, right now, today, tonight, this week, this month, this summer, this year, tomorrow etc.
He’s driving very fast.
They are singing at the church.
She isn’t playing the guitar.
Are you going to the beach? -Yes, we are.
Is Craig looking for a job? -No, he isn't.
Are you studying Medicine? - Yes, I am.
Future arrangements:
Mike is flying to Taipei tomorrow.
I’m coming home on Christmas Day.
Temporary situations:
- Lily is a Spanish teacher, but this week she is teaching English.
- Keith and Alice drink a glass of milk every night, but tonight they are drinking lemonade.
- Rebecca lives in Manhattan with her friends, but today she is staying at her parents’.
